Unschooling, Homeschooling, and Parenting With Trust
I meet with new homeschoolers and unschoolers to share my experience, knowledge, resources and suggestions for making a homeschooling lifestyle pleasant and enriching. As a single unschooling parent, I struggled to find others who could understand and support me. In today’s school-oriented culture, the empowerment that comes from a like-minded community is seriously lacking for unschoolers. My three children are now all pretty grown up (the oldest graduated from college with a 3.9 GPA in engineering, my middle is a 4.0 college student, and my youngest is unschooling for her final year of high school), and watching them thrive as they become independent only makes my passion for self-directed learning all the more clear.
I periodically offer free conference calls for parents, young people, homeschoolers, unschoolers, and anyone who wants to explore the ins & outs and ups & downs of parenting lifestyles rooted in trust and empowerment.
I also offer personal consultations for homeschoolers and unschoolers who want support, encouragement and information.
Initial consultations are complimentary, and ongoing/periodic support is available for my usual sliding scale fee. Sessions with young people (under 20 years old) are half-price.
If you are an unschooler or if you want to learn more about unschooling, you may also enjoy visiting my Unschooling Support website.
